Avengers: Infinity War" is a superhero film released in 2018, produced by Marvel Studios and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Here's a brief summary of the story:

The film begins with Thanos, a powerful and ruthless cosmic warlord, seeking to collect all six Infinity Stones, which grant him unimaginable power over reality, time, space, mind, soul, and power. He believes that by obtaining them, he can bring balance to the universe by wiping out half of all life.

Thanos sends his henchmen, the Black Order, to Earth to retrieve the two stones located there. This brings them into conflict with the Avengers, a team of superheroes. Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, and others reunite to stop Thanos.

Simultaneously, the Guardians of the Galaxy encounter Thor after his ship is attacked. They join forces to stop Thanos and rescue Thor's brother Loki, who possesses one of the stones.

As the story unfolds, the heroes split into groups to protect the remaining stones. Vision, who has one of the stones embedded in his forehead, is targeted in Wakanda, where the battle against Thanos culminates.

Despite valiant efforts, Thanos ultimately acquires all six stones. In a heartbreaking climax, he snaps his fingers, causing half of all life in the universe to disintegrate into ash, including many beloved characters.

The film ends with the surviving heroes, now mourning their losses and defeated, vowing to find a way to undo the devastation caused by Thanos' cataclysmic act.

This sets the stage for the sequel, "Avengers: Endgame," where the remaining heroes embark on a desperate mission to reverse the damage and confront Thanos once again.
